Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $180K–$350K annually, plus equity.

hirify.global is building a search engine for AI applications, including web-scale crawling, embedding models, and high-performance vector databases in Rust.

What you will do

• Build and maintain secure infrastructure for web-scale data processing, model training, GPU clusters, APIs, and enterprise services.
• Design secrets management and automated rotation across distributed services, training jobs, and GPU clusters.
• Build monitoring and alerting for anomalous behavior across APIs, internal services, and customer usage.
• Create security incident response playbooks and lead incident handling through post-mortems.
• Support security hardening for VPNs, development servers, operating systems, and emerging technologies.
• Improve security while preserving engineering and shipping velocity.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining secure infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud security fundamentals, including multi-account AWS permissions and architectures, IAM design, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in secrets management, key management, and certificate lifecycle automation, including rotation and revocation.
• Experience owning compliance efforts such as HIPAA and SOC 2.
• Strong awareness of vulnerabilities, potential attacks, abuse, and secure adoption of new technologies.
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco.
