Visual Design Director

Location: Hybrid, with onsite work at least 3 days per week in applicable workplace locations: San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. Workplace type may vary by location and team requirements.

Salary: USD $243,000–$486,000 per year, with potential additional compensation including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and scale an inclusive, diverse visual design team across multiple geographies.
• Define and execute the long-term vision for the Visual Design function and the visual direction of the product portfolio.
• Reimagine visual design practices using current AI technologies and tooling.
• Deliver a scalable, accessible enterprise design system in partnership with engineering.
• Lead visual, illustration, and motion design teams while mentoring and developing designers.
• Partner with engineering, product, executives, and marketing to improve design quality, implementation feasibility, and brand consistency.

Requirements

• Professional background in Visual Design, Graphic Design, or a related creative field.
• Extensive experience leading, managing, and scaling creative teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced mastery of UI design, typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Deep experience producing, managing, and scaling enterprise-grade design systems.
• Strong knowledge of web accessibility, including WCAG, and inclusive design principles.
• Mature leadership skills and the ability to align engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud computing or similarly complex technical domains.
