What you will do

• Design and detail medical implants and instruments using PTC Creo Parametric.
• Develop and oversee designs from concept through production while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Collaborate with prototype shops and external vendors to ensure manufacturability.
• Apply advanced CAD techniques to model complex geometries, including bone curvature, drill bit flutes, and screw threads.
• Support additive manufacturing design processes and evaluate new CAD software packages.
• Provide expert-level CAD support and specialized training to engineers, including support for third-party tools such as SolidWorks and nTopology.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience with PTC Creo Parametric for design and drafting.
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering, design, or manufacturing; medical device experience is preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, or Drafting and Design; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance standards.
• Strong self-starting, organizational, multitasking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
