Contract Interior Design - In-Person

Location: Remote work serving local clients in Jersey City and the surrounding New Jersey area, including in-home meetings.

Compensation: $125–$200 per completed design on a project basis, with potential performance bonuses of $100–$500 tied to generated sales.

What you will do

• Collaborate with residential New Jersey-area clients through virtual and in-home meetings to understand their preferences, needs, and budgets.
• Lead the design process from client discovery through mood boards, design concepts, floor plans, and 3D renderings.
• Source furniture and decor from vendor partners through the hirify.global platform.
• Build client relationships that generate repeat and referral business.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of interior design experience with personal clients, in person and/or virtually.
• A degree in Interior Design from an accredited program or university is preferred.
• Required proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Canva, including image layering and background removal.
• Comfort with online technologies for concept boards, 3D renderings, floor plans, presentations, and communications.
• Product knowledge across furniture and decor vendors, categories, and price points.
• Reliable transportation for client meetings, a suitable computer, and current authorization to work full-time in the United States are required.

Nice to have

• Accredited Interior Design degree.
• Experience growing a small business and converting design projects into sales.
