NOSC Cyber Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, DC. Minimal travel and standard working hours.

Basic compensation: $149,400–$224,100 per year for Washington, DC.

What you will do

• Coordinate enterprise monitoring of network security devices and manage tiered alerts across operational networks.
• Identify security risks and exposures, determine causes of violations, and recommend preventive procedures.
• Analyze network traffic using raw packet data, NetFlow, IDS, IPS, and custom sensor outputs.
• Lead cyber investigations and prepare high-level and detailed incident reports for customers and team leads.
• Maintain process and procedure documentation and develop training and cross-training sessions.
• Mentor junior analysts and support team capability development.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• 8 years of incident handling or incident response experience.
• Ability to lead cyber investigations and brief customers and team leads on updates.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP.
• Current DoD 8570 CSSP-Analyst certification, such as CEH, CFR, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, or SCYBER.
