AI Backend Software Engineer (f/m/d)

Location: Hybrid in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany (Remote/Office)

What you will do

• Operate and maintain AI-powered business applications in production.
• Investigate incidents, analyze logs, evaluate monitoring alerts, and support structured resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to service reliability, operational stability, and business continuity.
• Read, maintain, and adjust Python code for minor bug fixes and technical enhancements.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to resolve technical issues and improve operational supportability.
• Support releases, deployments, and production validation with technical teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python and confidence working with existing codebases.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SQL, Git, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of incident management, root cause analysis, application monitoring, and log analysis.
• Familiarity with AWS services and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch.
• Strong analytical thinking, a service-oriented mindset, and excellent English communication skills.
