D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant (D365 Finance)

Location: UK-based; regular monthly travel to London and Paris.

Day rate: £650–£800 per day, with the contract details stating circa £800 per day. Outside IR35.

Support is provided for a major international finance transformation programme for a global organisation.

What you will do

• Facilitate finance process discovery and business requirements workshops.
• Analyse and document current-state and future-state finance processes.
• Lead functional design discussions across finance workstreams.
• Design and align the Global Chart of Accounts, financial dimensions, and reporting structures.
• Provide D365 Finance best-practice guidance, fit-gap analysis, and solution recommendations.
• Collaborate with architecture, integration, programme, and senior finance stakeholders on business cases and implementation planning.

Requirements

• Strong experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations projects.
• Deep understanding of finance processes and controls, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank Management, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience leading workshops, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into functional solutions.
• Previous involvement in finance transformation programmes and strong stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent French and English required.
• UK-based availability and regular monthly travel to London and Paris required.

• Experience with multi-country or global D365 deployments.
• Experience in retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
• Experience with third-party system integrations.
• Experience supporting ERP strategy or operating model design.
