Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer - AI Tooling

Location: Remote from anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City for occasional office events.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native infrastructure and platform services.
• Lead automation of CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code workflows, including the use of AI tools.
• Define non-functional requirements and translate availability, scalability, and resiliency needs into system designs.
• Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, logging, capacity, performance, and cost efficiency across distributed systems.
• Respond to complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
• Partner with engineering, product, Security, and compliance teams while mentoring engineers on systems design, DevOps/SRE practices, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, DevOps, or related software engineering roles supporting large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure; containers; Kubernetes or similar orchestration; and Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Experience with a modern programming or scripting language such as Python, Go, or Java, plus production observability and incident response practices.
• Experience using AI to build software and workflows for infrastructure and productivity.
