Senior Devex Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid position based in Buenos Aires, Argentina

What you will do

• Own and evolve ephemeral and local development environments using Kubernetes, DevSpace, and vCluster.
• Design and operate scalable CI/CD systems with reusable GitHub Actions workflows, self-hosted runners, and reliable build pipelines.
• Build the Internal Developer Portal, golden paths, service scaffolding, ownership data, and self-service infrastructure.
• Define DevEx metrics covering build and test times, environment reliability, production lead time, and change failure rate.
• Introduce AI-assisted development workflows, including agentic processes, code review, and test generation.
• Partner with engineering, Security, and Compliance teams, mentor engineers, and lead projects from conception through adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including developer experience, platform engineering, or engineering productivity work.
• Production-quality coding experience in Go, Python, TypeScript/Node, or a similar general-purpose language.
• Deep practical Kubernetes experience, including debugging and abstracting Kubernetes for other engineers.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD systems at scale, with Terraform and AWS infrastructure experience.
• Product mindset for internal tooling, including measuring adoption, documenting tools, and working directly with engineering users.
• Clear written English is required for collaboration with US-based teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with observability, internal developer portals such as Cortex, Backstage, or Port, and ephemeral preview environments.
• Experience with Kafka, LocalStack, secrets management, Vault, OIDC-based cloud authentication, and software supply-chain controls.
• Experience applying AI development tooling and encoding SOC 2 and PCI controls into automation.
