Location: United States (Remote); U.S. Persons-only

Salary: $139,000–$175,000 USD annually; a premium-market range of $155,000–$194,000 USD annually may apply in locations such as the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary technical support contact for U.S. federal and public-sector customers through cases, chat, Slack, meetings, email, and phone.
  • Develop solutions for ClickHouse Cloud and ClickHouse open-source and document them in knowledge-base articles, customer documentation, and internal runbooks.
  • Guide deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in government-authorized environments, including AWS GovCloud-adjacent infrastructure where applicable.
  • Provide professional responses, on-call coverage, and technical guidance within required service-level agreements.
  • Partner with Support Services, Engineering, Security/Compliance, Product Management, and Go-To-Market teams to represent federal customer requirements.
  • Support federal proofs of concept, security questionnaires, and Authority to Operate-adjacent evaluations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Person status is required and will be verified during the interview process.
  • Technical breadth in ClickHouse Cloud or open-source ClickHouse, SQL databases, OLAP, cloud-native SaaS, or distributed systems.
  • Previous experience as a Support Engineer, Consultant, Database Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Software Engineer, or Systems Engineer.
  • Experience with the operational and compliance requirements of federal IT environments, such as FedRAMP, DOD IL, AWS GovCloud, air-gapped, or sovereign-cloud deployments.
  • Strong communication skills and sound judgment when handling sensitive data.
  • Self-directed, curious, collaborative approach to solving challenging technical problems.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting federal, SLED, or other public-sector customers in technical support, TAM, or solutions engineering roles.
  • Experience with FedRAMP-authorized services, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or equivalent sovereign and air-gapped environments.
  • Active or recently active U.S. government security clearance.
  • Experience with ClickHouse, open-source technologies, or data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ.
