Senior Full Stack Developer (React/Node.js)

Location: Primarily remote with occasional trips to Aberdeen, typically 1–2 times per quarter; hybrid workplace in the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Complete development and support handover of the overtime application, including user demonstrations.
• Develop, enhance, and support internal applications and recently completed products.
• Provide run-mode support, including bug fixes and security patches.
• Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies while planning, scoping, estimating, and scheduling development work.
• Coordinate releases with DevOps teams and provide stakeholder and user demonstrations.
• Mentor junior engineers, particularly those new to Agile and React, and provide bi-weekly reporting to the team lead.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience with strong hands-on capability.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript and TypeScript development.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript, plus backend experience with Node.js and Azure Functions.
• Cloud development experience, particularly with Azure, and experience with GraphQL and/or REST APIs.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and mentoring junior developers.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, SQL databases such as Azure SQL and PostgreSQL, Microsoft Entra authentication, and DevOps scripting with Bash, ZSH, or PowerShell.

• Familiarity with AI tooling such as GitHub Copilot.
