TL;DR
Driver Compliance Specialist (Transportation Compliance): Monitoring driver compliance with FMCSRs, CVSA standards, ELD requirements, and UniGroup safety policies with an accent on incident investigation, regulatory documentation, and operator coaching. Focus on identifying hours-of-service violations, resolving ELD issues, analyzing safety performance data, and recommending corrective actions.

Location: On-site at the Des Peres, Missouri headquarters, USA

What you will do

  • Monitor compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, CVSA standards, hirify.global policies, and ELD requirements.
  • Review safety incidents, compliance exceptions, hours-of-service violations, incomplete logs, and other regulatory concerns.
  • Coach van operators and Agency Safety Representatives on safe driving practices and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze safety data and reports, identify trends and risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support ELD troubleshooting with vendors and respond to compliance inquiries from internal departments.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and participate in process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of related experience, preferably in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or safety compliance.
  • Working knowledge of transportation regulations, compliance practices, or safety programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and influence stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Nice to have

  • Experience with FMCSA regulations, hours-of-service requirements, ELD systems, or driver log management.
  • Experience with transportation compliance programs, safety administration, coaching, or training.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Experience analyzing safety metrics and compliance reports.
