Sr. Software Engineer II, Windows Sensor - CTIO (Hybrid) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid, with at least 2 days per week in the office in Redmond, WA; Sunnyvale, CA; Austin, TX; New York City; or Toronto. The position is available in the United States or Canada.

Salary: $160,000–$250,000 USD per year for U.S. candidates, or $175,000–$250,000 CAD per year for Canada-based employment, plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop core features for the Windows endpoint security sensor.
• Build capabilities spanning file systems, memory, processes, networking, and other operating-system subsystems.
• Collaborate with sensor development teams on architecture and strategic initiatives.
• Support cross-platform software delivery across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Own features from design through delivery and present demonstrations at the end of each sprint.
• Lead, mentor, and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of C/C++, the Windows operating-system kernel, and driver development.
• Extensive understanding of Windows internals.
• Experience debugging memory corruption, process contention, and system-performance bottlenecks.
• Experience collaborating on major features and software releases.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• For Canada-based employment, legal entitlement to work in Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Experience developing scalable, lightweight, high-performance systems.
• Strong expertise in operating-system concepts and core subsystems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
