Data Engineer Semi-Senior (Databricks)

Location: Argentina; remote in Latam

hirify.global is a remote startup building Big Data and Machine Learning systems, data infrastructures, and custom AI solutions for demand planning, forecasting, advertising, visual recognition, and recommendations.

What you will do

• Co-develop batch and streaming pipelines, semantic models, and transformations on Databricks using Python and Spark.
• Define and maintain data contracts, data quality rules, and data SLOs for each data product.
• Guide domain teams on data modeling and data product boundaries.
• Train, mentor, and pair with domain engineers and analysts on data product ownership and engineering practices.
• Capture domain feedback and improve platform templates, tooling, and engineering patterns.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering, including building and optimizing data pipelines.
• Experience with Databricks, Python, and Spark for batch and streaming data processing.
• Basic or intermediate English.
• Familiarity with a BI visualization tool such as Looker or Tableau.
