Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location: Onsite in Chantilly, Virginia, United States. Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Salary: $150,000–$160,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, customize, and optimize ServiceNow applications and modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM.
• Develop Service Portals using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, Bootstrap, and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
• Architect and implement secure REST and SOAP integrations with external systems using JSON, XML, and Integration Hub.
• Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve platform performance and data integrity.
• Manage code reviews, deployments, Update Sets, CI/CD pipelines, Application Repository releases, and change governance.
• Mentor junior developers and administrators, contribute to architecture roadmaps, and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration experience.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
• Strong experience with complex REST and SOAP API integrations.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and sprint-based delivery, along with strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification in a relevant module.
• Experience with Automated Test Framework and automated testing pipelines.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM principles; ITIL v4 certification is a plus.
