GreyMatter Specialist (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Act as a trusted technical advisor, resolving customer challenges from start to finish.
• Analyze alert activity, response playbooks, and investigations to provide customer recommendations.
• Triage and fine-tune security, Digital Risk Protection, and engineering health alerts.
• Integrate and configure customer log sources and troubleshoot data parsing and ingestion issues.
• Deploy and optimize detection rules using GreyMatter Detect.
• Conduct advanced investigations, including Tier 3 incidents, threat hunts, and customer-requested analyses, while communicating engineering and incident response escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and IT disciplines, including networking, operating systems, authentication protocols, enterprise network architecture, and security incident response.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network analysis, and network and security applications.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Ability to combine technical and communication skills when advising customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Network+, Security+, or CySA+ certification.
• 1–3 years of experience as a security or network administrator, or equivalent knowledge.
• Prior SIEM experience or administration knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with data parsing, log formats, regular expressions, or scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with multiple operating systems and security methodologies or tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and offensive security solutions.
