Senior Software Engineer (C/IBM DB2)

Location: Hybrid position based out of the Novi Sad office, Serbia

What you will do

• Write, test, maintain, and improve software for capturing data from relational databases.
• Create technical specifications and contribute to architectural designs.
• Review and approve technical design documents and pull requests.
• Own services and improve platform reliability, code quality, and operational readiness.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with the core team and broader stakeholders.
• Contribute across requirements, design, prototyping, implementation, review, release, and monitoring.

Requirements

• Professional experience with C and C++.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and DBMS call-level interfaces such as ODBC or Oracle OCI.
• Ability to design effective, intuitive, operable, and maintainable software systems.
• Strong understanding of complex structures, object orientation, exceptions, and memory management.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and work in new environments.
• Ability to work from the Novi Sad office in a hybrid setup.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IBM DB2 for LUW, iSeries, or z/OS.
• Knowledge of DBMS internals, including transaction logging systems.
• Experience with data replication, ETL/ELT tools, AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, API technologies, or analytics.
