Corporate Governance Research Trainee (Benelux Market)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; office-based five days a week. Candidates must be based in the country of employment from the first day. Fixed-term contract running from 1 February 2027 to 28 May 2027.

Salary: €2,242.81 gross per month.

What you will do

• Analyze governance structures and performance of publicly listed companies in the Benelux market.
• Prepare data, research, reports, and vote recommendations for institutional shareholder clients during proxy voting season.
• Gather publicly available company information and contact companies to obtain additional data.
• Use analyst expertise and technology to explain the rationale behind vote recommendations.
• Work independently and collaboratively with experienced analysts and other trainees.

Requirements

• Fluent English in both spoken and written communication.
• A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Law, or Political Sciences, or currently pursuing such a degree.
• Strong analytical ability and numeracy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to assimilate large quantities of information, work independently, take initiative, and contribute as a team player.
• An organized and structured approach.

Nice to have

• Dutch and/or French language skills.
• Prior experience in a relevant area.
• Relevant personal qualities, extracurricular activities, and accomplishments demonstrating potential value to the team.
