Accountant (Birkirkara-Malta) (Gaming)

Location: Birkirkara, Malta. Hybrid working model, with the possibility to work remotely up to 50% of working time. Candidates requiring a work permit may also be considered.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly and annual accounting closings for Maltese legal entities.
• Record daily purchase, sales, and banking transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Book complex accounting transactions, including accruals, prepayments, cut-off entries, capex, and depreciation.
• Support account justification, annual audits, tax compliance, cash forecasting, and payment preparation.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and contribute to improving accounting processes, internal controls, and ERP usage.

Requirements

• Accounting qualification or accounting studies in progress, plus at least 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and VAT regulations.
• Strong ERP knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
• Autonomous, well-organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines accurately.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with finance and operational stakeholders.
• Ability to work in or relocate to Birkirkara, Malta; candidates requiring a work permit may also be considered.

Nice to have

• Experience in the gaming industry or an audit background.
• Knowledge of P2P processes, purchase orders, analytical accounting dimensions, or IFRS standards.
