Senior Accountant (iGaming)

Location: Hybrid in Swieqi, Malta

What you will do

• Own monthly and annual reporting for group entities, including general ledger reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, cost allocation, capitalization, and balance sheet and income statement reviews.
• Provide management with financial analysis, investigate exceptions, and explain cost, revenue, balance, budget, and forecast variances.
• Lead group audits by preparing documentation, explanations, and analysis for external auditors.
• Prepare IFRS financial statements, including consolidation, and submit income tax, gaming tax, VAT, and other compliance returns.
• Lead automation projects for reconciliation, controlling, and accounting processes while strengthening internal controls.
• Guide junior accountants and accounting staff by answering questions, coordinating information sessions, and reviewing their work.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant through ACCA or a similar qualification.
• At least two years of accounting experience in the gaming industry and at least two years of team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
• Ability to meet stringent deadlines, work independently, and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• High proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
