Database Engineer (SQL)

We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join an international project.

🌍 Fully Remote — candidates must be based in the EU
💼 Project-based / B2B cooperation
⏳ Can be combined with your current employment
🗣 English: B2
🇩🇪 German: nice to have

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of experience as a Database Engineer / Database Developer
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server
• Database design, data modeling, and schema optimization
• Query and performance optimization
• Knowledge of indexing, partitioning, and replication
• Backup and recovery strategies
• Experience with database migrations and production environments
• Understanding of database security and data integrity
• Cloud database experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP — a plus
• Python, Bash, or other scripting experience — a plus

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and optimize database systems
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and integrations
• Implement backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability solutions
• Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams
