Junior Market Risk Manager (Fintech)

Location: Full-time onsite in Amsterdam, Netherlands; participation in a weekend on-call rotation approximately once per month.

Global proprietary trading firm and principal liquidity provider and market maker across ETFs, bonds, FX, and digital assets, operating under the IFR/IFD regulatory framework.

What you will do

• Work closely with trading desks to understand exposures, trading strategies, and market activity.
• Perform trading desk risk assessments and update market and credit risk requirements, limits, and stress tests.
• Analyze trading desk capital usage and return on capital in relation to entity-level risk capacity.
• Ensure that tools and reports required for risk analysis are available and effective.
• Participate in the weekend on-call rotation approximately once per month.

Requirements

• University degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• Fluent English and clear, concise communication skills.
• Proactive mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt quickly.
• Experience with Excel, SQL, Python, and/or C#.
• Strong interest in proprietary trading and traded asset classes such as equities, fixed income, commodities, FX, or digital assets.
