Senior Program Systems Integration Engineer (MILSATCOM)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States, at a secure facility. Minimal travel and standard working hours.

Salary: $135,000–$169,000 per year, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop integration strategies for satellite communication systems and their ground, space, crypto, terminal, subsystem, and component segments.
• Manage technical baselines, analyze system requirements, and support verification and validation activities.
• Apply digital engineering methods and modeling strategies, including digital twins, to integration and testing.
• Lead government and contractor working groups, prepare briefings, facilitate technical discussions, and track risks, issues, requirements gaps, and action items.
• Review technical baseline changes and contractor-developed program documents, assess integration impacts, and adjudicate review comments.
• Develop alternative solutions, manage schedule impacts, and provide technical courses of action to U.S. Space Force stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in systems engineering.
• Experience with requirements management, technical baseline development, test planning, integration, execution, verification, and validation.
• Experience developing or managing requirements specifications or Interface Control Documents for complex systems.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with MILSATCOM programs such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, or FAB-T terminal programs.
• Experience with military personnel, Department of Defense civilians, ground and space systems, terminals, and networks.
• Knowledge of Agile development and Jira or Confluence.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, or ASEP.
