Principal Process Engineer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Develop process simulations and heat and material balances.
• Prepare process and utility flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, and system design parameters.
• Perform equipment design and rating calculations for heat exchangers, vessels, reactors, pumps, and piping systems.
• Develop concepts from client specifications and support technical and techno-economic studies.
• Specify piping and instrumentation data for downstream engineering disciplines.
• Lead process engineering teams on large projects or smaller studies, including advanced controls and process optimization when required.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of experience with a major EPC contractor or operator.
• Experience leading teams of up to 10 process engineers and working across multidisciplinary teams and offices.
• Strong experience with complex equipment sizing, vessel and exchanger specification, relief valve sizing, and hydraulic calculations.
• Experience leading HazOp, SIL, or LOPA safety reviews and developing process control and cause-and-effect diagrams.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and manage work hours, schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and communication across project teams.

Nice to have

• Experience building complex simulation models in Hysys, Promax, or a similar tool.
• Experience with conceptual studies, client presentations, project proposals, training or mentoring engineers, and COMOS.
