Software Engineer (Game Engine)

Location: Must be based in Vancouver, Canada (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $104,500 - $142,800 CAD

What you will do

• Support engine upgrades, code merges, and refactoring for EA Sports game teams.
• Develop and improve integration workflows, tooling, and engine performance.
• Collaborate with domain and game teams to refine engine APIs and developer experiences.
• Research and implement automation and AI-assisted solutions to boost engineering efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with C++ and/or C#.
• Strong understanding of memory management, multithreading, and modern software practices.
• Experience with performance analysis, profiling, and debugging.
• Proficiency with version control and large-scale source code management tools like Perforce.

Nice to have

• Experience in an AAA development environment.
• Familiarity with Unity, Unreal, or game engine development and integration.
