Lead, Robotics Software Engineer

Location: Onsite in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, five days per week, Monday–Friday

Expected base salary: CAD $130,000–$190,000 annually, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Define and drive the software roadmap for productizing NeuraGrasp™ robotic grasping technology.
• Translate product objectives into technical plans, milestones, execution strategies, and measurable outcomes.
• Establish software architecture, engineering standards, tooling, and best practices for scalable product development.
• Lead, coach, and develop software engineers through direction, performance management, mentorship, and career development.
• Lead integration, testing, validation, deployment, field activities, and performance monitoring across software, hardware, perception, and product teams.
• Develop production-quality Python and/or C++ applications, internal platforms, automation frameworks, data infrastructure, and testing systems for robotic products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, robotics, automation, or a related technical field.
• Strong Python and/or C++ development experience with robotics, automation platforms, distributed systems, or real-time applications.
• Experience leading teams, managing employee performance, supporting career growth, and providing technical mentorship.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and robotic software systems.
• Experience with robotic manipulation, grasping technologies, industrial automation, or production/customer-facing robotic deployments.
• Excellent English communication skills are required, along with strong collaboration and stakeholder-management abilities.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, databases, data pipelines, and analytics infrastructure.
• Experience with experimentation frameworks, operational metrics, performance evaluation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience in fast-paced startups or growth-stage technology companies.
