PR Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico (Hybrid). Hybrid work includes time at the office, with customers, and from home; office presence is expected organically and may be required most days during ramp-up or at the leader's request.

What you will do

• Plan and execute local PR strategies across Mexico and Colombia.
• Build relationships with journalists and media outlets, manage media inquiries, and organize interviews.
• Lead communications for product launches, partnerships, and C-level announcements.
• Create press releases, media alerts, editorial content, briefing materials, and executive messages.
• Coordinate press conferences, media briefings, speaking engagements, bylined articles, and industry events.
• Monitor media coverage, track industry and competitor trends, and develop crisis communications plans when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience planning and executing successful PR strategies, with strong knowledge of the local media landscape and established journalist relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, storytelling, judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Experience advising and working directly with C-level stakeholders, including executive communications, media preparation, and event support.
• Experience with thought leadership initiatives such as securing speaking engagements and writing bylined articles.
• Hands-on ability to use AI, automation, and new tools to simplify workflows and scale PR processes.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English is required.
