Content Publishing & Workflow Automation Specialist (Python/AI)

Location: Remote; compensation details specify candidates based in Washington State.

Compensation: $15–$20 per hour for candidates based in Washington State.

What you will do

• Prepare, review, publish, update, and maintain digital content through content management systems.
• Perform quality assurance reviews covering metadata, accessibility, formatting, compliance, and document, spreadsheet, and presentation templates.
• Support English-language and localized bulk-ingestion workflows and coordinate handoffs across content, design, engineering, localization, and vendor teams.
• Build, test, document, and maintain scripts and lightweight internal tools using Python, PowerShell, APIs, and similar technologies.
• Develop batch-processing tools, validation workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions for publishing and quality operations.
• Maintain documentation, trackers, audit trails, status reports, and communication about risks, dependencies, blockers, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, content automation, or a related field.
• Two to four years of experience in digital publishing, content operations, production operations, workflow automation, content management, or a related area.
• At least two years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automated solutions with Python, PowerShell, APIs, or comparable technologies.
• At least two years of experience with content management systems, content ingestion, metadata preparation, structured QA, and productivity applications.
• Ability to identify operational inefficiencies, translate them into automation requirements, and manage multiple workstreams independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and collaboration skills, including proactive risk reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git-based workflows, command-line tools, query languages, spreadsheet automation, APIs, or reporting dashboards.
• Experience consolidating scripts into reliable end-to-end or one-click workflows and developing batch-processing or automated validation tools.
• Familiarity with generative AI, prompt-based workflows, and human-in-the-loop quality processes.
• Experience creating operational dashboards, technical documentation, process guides, and user-support materials.
