Video Editor — Narrative / Film (Review & Evaluation)

Location: Remote (Philippines); flexible hours

hirify.global is hiring for ongoing video review and evaluation work supporting AI system training.

What you will do

• Watch videos and assess the quality of their editing.
• Identify awkward jump cuts, continuity problems, and pacing issues.
• Evaluate whether stories and sequences are coherent.
• Write clear, detailed explanations of what works, what does not, and why.
• Reference specific moments instead of providing general impressions.
• Potentially perform hands-on editing work at a later stage.

Requirements

• Professional editing experience in long-form work such as short films, documentaries, wedding films, long-form YouTube, or television.
• Strong DaVinci Resolve skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Ability to explain editorial reasoning in writing.
• Reel or portfolio containing pieces longer than five minutes.
• Computer capable of running DaVinci Resolve comfortably and a stable internet connection.

Nice to have

• Colour grading or sound experience.
• Experience taking structured notes from a director or producer.
