Senior Android Developer

Location: Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania; work from the European Union region and a work permit are required

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, user-focused features end to end.
• Contribute to application architecture decisions and improve performance and code quality.
• Integrate mobile applications with backend services using RESTful APIs and gRPC while handling asynchronous data flows.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and Kotlin, plus good knowledge of Java.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and gRPC.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor in software delivery.
• Work from the European Union region and a valid work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated testing and in-house device farms.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and Fastlane.
• Experience mentoring and onboarding junior team members.
• Experience applying GenAI within the software development life cycle through defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations.
• Interest in AI-driven development practices, including agent-based workflows and automation patterns.
