Azure Lead Data Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve scalable data solutions for enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and AI workloads.
• Lead and mentor the data engineering team while establishing engineering best practices and delivery standards.
• Provide technical leadership across data architecture, development, troubleshooting, operations, and delivery.
• Design and maintain scalable data ingestion frameworks for batch and streaming use cases.
• Partner with business stakeholders, Data Architects, Data Scientists, Product Owners, and Data Product Owners to translate requirements into technical designs and execution plans.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, business adoption of AI and advanced analytics, and platform reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or engineering.
• 10–13 years of overall experience in Data & Analytics, including 5+ years with Azure data engineering technologies.
• 3+ years of experience leading data engineering teams or working in comparable technical lead roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, data governance and security, and CI/CD using DevOps.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, AI-ready data platforms and collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications in Azure, Databricks, Data Engineering, AI, or Data Governance.
