TL;DR
Business Intelligence ETL Developer III (AWS/Python/SQL): Designing, developing, and supporting BI data integration jobs and AWS data pipelines with an accent on production operations, complex SQL, workflow orchestration, and performance optimization. Focus on monitoring 24x7 batch loads, troubleshooting production failures, managing cross-environment deployments, and mentoring junior team members.
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina; hybrid arrangement available

What you will do
- Design, develop, implement, and support new and existing BI data integration jobs using ETL tools, Python, SQL, and Unix scripting.
- Monitor 24x7 batch loads and manage incidents, changes, break/fix development, patches, and production deployments.
- Design and maintain complex SQL processes and stored procedures for reporting data marts using Teradata, Redshift, and Oracle.
- Build, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows on AWS using EC2, Redshift, and S3.
- Query large datasets, support recurring and non-recurring business information needs, and optimize BI infrastructure and performance.
- Gather requirements with business partners, assess cross-functional impacts, provide expert data guidance, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, plus 7 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree plus 5 years of experience.
- Experience with production operations, 24x7 batch monitoring, incident and change management, break/fix patch development, and deployment implementation.
- Advanced experience designing and troubleshooting SQL processes and stored procedures with Teradata, Redshift, and Oracle.
- Experience with ETL methodologies, Python, SQL, Unix scripting, relational databases, and large-scale data integration environments.
- Experience with workflow orchestration using Broadcom Automic Automation, Apache Airflow, or IBM Tivoli, and with Git, Bitbucket, or SVN.
- At least 2 years of experience using AWS applications to design, build, and manage data pipelines and workflows.
