Location: San Diego, California or Los Angeles, California, United States. Applicants must be U.S. Persons eligible to obtain required export authorizations under ITAR/EAR and must possess or be able to secure a Secret Department of War Security Clearance. Travel of up to 25% is required.
Base salary: $140,000–$150,000 USD annually, excluding benefits and bonus or incentive compensation.

What you will do
- Develop and execute near- and long-term business development strategies and campaigns aligned with annual and long-range business objectives.
- Market and sell space electronic components to U.S. government customers, allied nations, industrial base vendors, and emerging space companies.
- Track markets and trends and develop new offerings or strategic partnerships in response to competition, pricing, and demand.
- Engage customers and vendors to shape pre-solicitation efforts and prepare RFIs, RFPs, proposals, presentations, and other responses.
- Execute the Pursue, Bid, and Proposal process and maintain accurate pipeline reporting.
- Collaborate with technology, product development, finance, marketing, and other stakeholders to drive bookings, revenue, and sustainable growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, management, or a related field; a master’s degree in business administration or engineering is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in product sales, business development, or growth within a technology, defense, or aerospace company.
- Experience executing business development activities and briefing executive leadership.
- Ability to translate complex technical, programmatic, and business topics into concise executive-level messaging.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality proposals, presentations, and customer communications with minimal oversight.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including engagement with customers, clients, partners, vendors, and the press.
Nice to have
- Experience with communications, guidance, navigation and control, and/or compute space electronics products.
- Master’s degree in business administration or engineering.
