Senior Software Engineer, AI Infrastructure

What you will do

• Build goal-oriented AI agents on the Quartermaster platform for incident investigation, infrastructure provisioning, deployment orchestration, database operations, and capacity management.
• Design reliable agent architectures with planning, reasoning, tool use, error recovery, safety guardrails, auditing, and human-in-the-loop escalation.
• Integrate agents with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, GCP, Aliyun, cloud APIs, databases, monitoring systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define metrics and evaluation frameworks for task completion, accuracy, time to resolution, and escalation rates.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to identify workflows suitable for automation.
• Contribute to the technical direction of infrastructure AI and increasingly autonomous infrastructure systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin for backend development.
• Practical knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Aliyun, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD systems.
• Strong system design skills for reliable, safe, and scalable agent systems operating against production infrastructure.
• Experience building AI agents that plan, reason, use tools, and execute multi-step tasks with LLMs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global, cross-functional environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, custom agent frameworks, or LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, ELK, database administration, or database automation.
• Knowledge of SRE practices including incident response, runbooks, postmortems, SLOs, and SLIs.
• Strong opinions on agent reliability, safety, evaluation, and autonomous infrastructure systems.
