Databricks Developer (Databricks)

Location: Hanover, New Jersey, United States; 3 days per week from the office

Base compensation: $105,000–$115,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Databricks data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Databricks notebooks.
• Implement Delta Lake solutions, Lakehouse architecture, and Bronze, Silver, and Gold medallion data models.
• Manage Databricks workflows, jobs, clusters, notebooks, libraries, and automated deployments.
• Integrate data from databases, APIs, files, streaming platforms, and cloud-native storage across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Implement data quality, governance, security, privacy, metadata, lineage, monitoring, and troubleshooting frameworks.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing data engineering solutions with Databricks.
• Experience with PySpark, Spark SQL, ETL/ELT workflows, and Delta Lake.
• Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture, medallion data models, data modeling, and analytics integrations.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and cloud-native data services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, data quality checks, governance, security, metadata, lineage, and monitoring.
• Ability to work from the Hanover, NJ office 3 days per week.
