Software Packaging Engineer

Location: Remote within Romania; candidates must currently reside in Romania and have Romanian work authorization.

What you will do

• Create new packages and update existing packages in the hirify.global package library.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex package bugs and failures.
• Develop and improve packaging processes and tools with packaging team members.
• Support packaging requirements across Windows and macOS.
• Test and validate packages before customer release.
• Answer packaging questions and provide input to Product and Development teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a technical role such as desktop support engineering or system administration.
• Exceptional attention to detail, quality focus, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow established processes, and complete detailed tasks.
• Some QA experience.
• Current residence in Romania and authorization to work in Romania are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in a highly regulated industry such as government, healthcare, or finance.
• Experience identifying and implementing automated solutions.
• Extensive QA experience.
