Sr. Construction Project Manager – Electrical Infrastructure

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The position is based in Memphis and involves field work, extended hours, weekends when needed, and occasional travel to other project sites.

What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle delivery of electrical construction projects, including high-voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, BESS, UPS, generators, and data-center power distribution.
• Manage field operations, contractor performance, safety, quality, coordination across electrical and civil trades, and real-time construction issue resolution.
• Own project controls, including schedules, budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, change management, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate electrical contractors, fabricators, OEMs, utilities, governmental authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage permitting, inspections, utility interconnection, equipment delivery, installation sequencing, testing, commissioning, energization, and turnover.
• Support electrical capacity planning, space allocation, load-growth coordination, punch-list closeout, and long-term reliability across the Memphis campus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of construction project management experience, preferably in electrical, industrial, data-center, substation, or energy-storage projects.
• Experience with construction sequencing, contractor management, safety programs, quality control, estimating, cost control, scheduling, and change-order management.
• Working knowledge of high-voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, BESS, UPS, generators, and low-voltage data-center distribution, including the ability to read one-line diagrams and coordinate with engineers.
• Ability to work at heights above 200 feet and around energized or high-voltage equipment with appropriate training and PPE.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for extended hours, weekends, and occasional travel are required.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
• Experience with multiple concurrent vertical or electrical construction projects and large-scale manufacturing or power facilities.
• Familiarity with jurisdictional permitting, utility interconnection, inspections, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and as-builts.
• Experience with Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety credentials.
