Biotechnologist I (Nights - A Shift)

Location: On-site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States. Rotational night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, following a 2-on, 2-off, 3-on, 2-off, 2-on, 3-off repeating cycle. The first two weeks include orientation and training on the day shift.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and monitor core production equipment and processes.
• Execute Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP) operations.
• Perform basic laboratory work, including pH and conductivity monitoring and product sampling.
• Transfer raw materials and chemicals accurately between production areas.
• Document production activities according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
• Maintain facility and equipment cleanliness, perform sanitization tasks, support 6S programs, and keep training qualifications current.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Comfort following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and asking questions when needed.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate execution and documentation.
• Ability to work the specified rotational night schedule, including weekends.
• Prior GMP, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical experience is beneficial but not required.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• Previous experience in a GMP, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environment.
