TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer, Unified Platform (SQL/Java/Python): Building and managing vendor-ingestion pipelines and data products on a unified platform for trading, research, and back-office users with an accent on data governance, quality control, and operational reliability. Focus on modeling production data transformations, orchestrating batch and streaming workflows, managing storage and serialization systems, and resolving pipeline failures and data gaps.

What you will do

Model, build, and manage data products on the Unified Data Platform.
Onboard and manage vendor data sources for trading, quantitative research, and back-office use cases.
Contribute to data governance covering dataset discovery, cost-sharing, usage tracking, access controls, and quality control.
Monitor ingestion pipelines and data quality, and improve monitoring and quality-control software and processes.
Own the technical operation of vendor ingestion pipelines, coordinate changes with vendor relationship managers, and participate in on-call support.
Respond to user requests and identify platform gaps and self-service opportunities.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with modern data technologies or data-first products.
Extensive SQL experience and professional experience with Java or Python.
Experience designing data pipelines, applying data modeling techniques, and delivering maintainable production transformations.
Experience with batch or streaming processing technologies such as Flink, Spark, Polars, or Dask.
Experience with multiple storage technologies, data formats, serialization systems, and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
Experience operating large data pipelines, handling backfills and dead-letter queues, triaging data-quality issues, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced trading environment.
