What you will do
- Lead financial oversight and quality assurance for partner organizations and sub-awardees.
- Oversee partner capacity assessments, financial risk analysis, budgets, amendments, advances, reporting terms, and special financial conditions.
- Review partner financial reports, cash requests, supporting documentation, budgets, and spending for compliance with agreements, donor regulations, and IRC policies.
- Coordinate funding, financial monitoring, agreement close-out, asset confirmation, and audit-readiness activities.
- Lead finance and accounting training, mentoring, and tailored financial improvement plans for partners.
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and manage the performance of the Finance Partnership Manager.
Requirements
- Fluency in Ukrainian and/or Russian and English is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is an asset.
- At least five years of progressive nonprofit experience overseeing partner projects funded by major institutional donors, including supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of government procurement rules, OMB Circulars, and administrative requirements associated with BHA or USAID funding.
- Experience working with partners and providing training, capacity building, and mentoring to staff, NGOs, or CBOs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and risk assessment skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with databases or tracking systems.
