Data Analytics Trainee

Location: Applications are open in Kazakhstan. Candidates from Almaty attend the program in-office; participants from other cities across Kazakhstan can join online.

Salary: from 300,000 KZT per month before taxes.

What you will do

• Extract and process data for business-focused analytics tasks.
• Explore patterns and trends and turn data into actionable business insights.
• Create visualizations and reports using BI tools.
• Apply analytics theory to real project tasks and business cases.
• Learn a second technology and understand how data analytics integrates with software development.
• Progress from the four-month traineeship to a commercial project after successful completion.

Requirements

• English at Intermediate level or higher for verbal communication.
• Basic understanding of programming, primarily Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Exposure to data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Understanding of fundamental statistical analysis and machine learning concepts.
• Motivation to develop in data analytics and IT.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Exposure to advanced machine learning techniques and TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Academic projects, internships, or hackathons related to data analysis, machine learning, or BI development.
