BI Developer (Fintech)

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan; onsite initially with hybrid work available after the probation period

MELKAZ operates in the fintech industry and develops data-driven solutions for an international market.

What you will do

• Gather and analyze reporting requirements with business stakeholders.
• Develop data marts and participate in designing and improving data warehouse architecture.
• Create reports, dashboards, metrics, and KPIs in Power BI to support decision-making.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, including complex scripts for PostgreSQL and other data environments.
• Automate and organize ETL processes, potentially using Python.
• Contribute to international projects involving Southeast Asia, India, and Mexico.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an Analyst or BI Developer.
• Mathematics or technical higher education.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with data warehouses, ETL workflows, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Intermediate English or higher, starting from B1.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI.
• Experience with Python.
• Understanding of digital lending and fintech.
