Senior AI Software Engineer (Node.js)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania — 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. Workspaces are also available in Klaipėda and Riga; arrangements outside Vilnius depend on the specific position. The role includes the option to work from anywhere in the world for up to 2 months.

Gross salary: €5,500–€7,000 per month.

What you will do

• Design and build AI tooling and infrastructure with security and observability in mind.
• Develop agentic business solutions for fast-growing products.
• Build AI marketing, customer support, and business intelligence tools processing large volumes of text, image, and video data.
• Develop low-latency, highly available, business-critical applications.
• Provide technical leadership through hands-on engineering and help grow the engineering community.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with backend systems, preferably JavaScript.
• Good understanding of how infrastructure and code work together.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Proven examples of introducing improvements to previous teams and organizations.
• Ability to work in the Vilnius hybrid model with four onsite days per week.

Nice to have

• Frontend development experience.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven system design.
• Performance optimization and monitoring experience.
• Machine learning experience.
