Technical Information Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: The Hague, Netherlands; hybrid working.

Salary: €4,527–€6,036 per month based on a 36-hour workweek, depending on knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Review technical designs and security measures for networks, infrastructure, cloud and on-premise data centers, external connections, IAM, and firewalls according to NN security standards.
• Work with Information Security Officers on control tracking, product reviews, threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, supply chain security, and other security and compliance activities.
• Cooperate closely with DevOps teams to identify risks proactively and support implementation of appropriate security measures.
• Support security and compliance projects, including automation of security compliance.
• Review, validate, and support implementation of technical security standards and guidelines across business units.
• Help balance residual risks against required controls and enable risk-based decisions by product owners and their teams.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in IT and information security.
• Strong foundation in IT security and compliance practices, including knowledge of relevant industry standards.
• Ability to review technical environments and security measures across network, infrastructure, cloud, on-premise data centers, and external connections.
• Proactive, result-driven, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a clear overview of risks, priorities, and objectives.
• Clear communication skills and ability to cooperate with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Team-oriented, flexible, supportive, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to take ownership, work independently when needed, and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Commitment to staying current with emerging security trends, threats, and regulatory developments.

Nice to have

• Experience with network connectivity products.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or another relevant technical or security-oriented field.
• CISSP, SSCP, or other relevant security and technical certifications.
