Public Sector Consultant [Area Coesione]

What you will do

• Lead client interviews, identify business issues, gather requirements, and validate functional solutions.
• Own process and functional analysis across public-sector engagements, documenting as-is and to-be environments and designing transformation roadmaps.
• Analyze and optimize complex processes to reduce lead time, increase throughput, and reduce cost.
• Develop business and IT strategies, identify risks and assumptions, shape program governance, and monitor stakeholder alignment.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations, workshops, proposals, bids, Statements of Work, and other professional deliverables.
• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level colleagues, support clients, contribute to practice optimization, and participate in hiring interviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
• Experience in Management Consulting within the Public Sector domain.
• Knowledge of EU Cohesion Policies and funding programs, including ERDF/FESR, PNRR, ESF+/FSE+, and JTF.
• Familiarity with REGIS, OpenCoesione, FSC, SIL, and monitoring of strategic programs.
• Experience in Data Intelligence and/or AI-related projects.
• Advanced expertise in business process analysis, functional requirements gathering, and business solution design.
• Hands-on experience with Business Analysis and requirements management tools across waterfall and agile delivery models, including Microsoft Visio, Enterprise Architect, Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to manage process modelling, documentation, backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability.
• Strong relational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and operational autonomy skills, including prioritization across multiple engagements.
• Ability to work with technical and business stakeholders, guide and mentor junior and mid-level colleagues, and work effectively in teams.
• Italian mother tongue and good written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Business Analysis certifications, particularly IIBA CBAP/CCBA or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
