Product Owner for Substation Automation Software (f/m/d) (HMI/SCADA and Grid Automation): Driving the backlog and development of substation automation software by translating customer, engineering, service, and regulatory requirements into prioritized features, user stories, and acceptance criteria with an accent on IEC 61850 implementations, cybersecurity requirements, and modern grid technologies. Focus on collaborating with Agile development teams, advising customers and stakeholders, and continuously improving products through market insights and post-launch feedback.
Location: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Flexible working times and a home office opportunity are available.

What you will do
- Define, refine, and prioritize the product backlog in line with Grid Automation portfolio strategy and business objectives.
- Gather requirements from customers, sales, engineering, service teams, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases for complex substation automation software features.
- Collaborate with Agile development teams and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide technical consultation throughout the product lifecycle and engage with global stakeholders.
- Use customer feedback and market insights to improve product performance and customer value.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Several years of experience engineering HMI and SCADA systems for control systems and energy transmission and distribution applications.
- Strong expertise in HMI software and substation automation platforms such as WinCC, Zenon, ZEE600, SICAM PAS, SICAM A8000, or comparable solutions.
- Knowledge of modern grid automation concepts, smart grid technologies, industry developments, and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Product Ownership or Agile certifications such as CSPO or PSPO are expected to support work in an Agile environment.
- Fluent English is required, along with strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
