Technical Team Leader - Java

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office, or 2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old

What you will do

• Lead architecture and design decisions for technical products and services.
• Design and develop scalable implementations using Java and related technologies.
• Write production code and unit tests, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, technology choices, and development best practices.
• Collaborate with business and product experts, architects, vendors, application developers, infrastructure, network, and operations teams.
• Identify risks, contribute to iterative planning, and communicate effectively across distributed teams and time zones.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience leading an engineering team delivering new services.
• At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience in a full-stack capacity.
• Proficiency in Java, core libraries, design patterns, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Integration.
• Experience with REST WebServices, ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate, microservice architecture, Git, and iterative agile methodologies.
• Experience with JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, effective testing and code review processes, and at least one modern frontend framework or library such as Angular.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, including experience working with technical management, product owners, operations, and multidisciplinary partners.
