Intermediate Software Engineer, Security Factory: Vulnerability Management (Ruby on Rails)

Location: Remote in Canada, Israel, or the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend features for vulnerability management workflows, security dashboards, vulnerability reports, and ingestion pipelines.
• Deliver features and improvements with minimal guidance while collaborating on larger engineering projects.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of security data ingestion and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and product designers across the Vulnerability Management domain.
• Review code, address technical debt, and maintain internal standards for a high-scale web environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot product, security, and urgent engineering issues.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining backend applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience delivering and maintaining software systems as part of a larger engineering team.
• Experience investigating technical problems and working toward practical resolutions.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team.
• Ability to work remotely from Canada, Israel, or the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Frontend development experience with JavaScript or Vue.js.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, graph databases, vulnerability management, application security, or related skills.
