Clinical Quality Specialist (Healthcare Quality)

Location: Remote, United States; fully virtual with periodic in-person retreats.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build scalable processes, workflows, documentation, and governance for the Clinical Quality Management Program.
• Coordinate patient safety event intake, review, tracking, trend analysis, corrective actions, and committee support.
• Improve complaints, grievances, patient feedback, and patient experience processes.
• Develop provider quality oversight activities, clinical documentation reviews, quality measures, dashboards, and executive reports.
• Support new clinical programs, treatment models, external audits, health plan requirements, regulatory initiatives, and accreditation readiness.
• Lead cross-functional quality and patient safety projects while identifying opportunities for automation and AI-enabled process improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in clinical quality, patient safety, healthcare quality management, accreditation, clinical operations, or a related healthcare environment.
• Experience supporting quality management, clinical oversight, quality improvement, patient safety, or regulatory compliance activities.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects from planning through implementation.
• Strong organization, communication, analytical, critical thinking, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Ability to prepare executive-level reports, presentations, dashboards, and operational recommendations.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in behavioral health or a healthcare-related field.
• Clinical licensure or previous clinical practice experience.
• Experience building quality management or patient safety programs, especially in behavioral health.
• Experience with clinical documentation reviews, health plan audits, accreditation standards, or regulatory readiness.
• Experience using dashboards, AI, automation, or technology to improve quality processes.
