What you will do
- Own the long-term technical health, performance, stability, and operational excellence of production AI solutions.
- Review code, prompts, architecture, and documentation during the transition from Delivery to Maintenance.
- Manage tiered SLAs, incident governance, root cause analysis, and P1/P2 mitigations.
- Monitor model performance, latency, data drift, prompt configurations, and regression risks related to LLM provider changes.
- Classify client requests as routine maintenance or system evolution and benchmark new AI models.
- Build self-healing data pipelines, automated RAG indexing synchronization, and telemetry tooling while advising delivery teams on maintainable architecture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, MLOps, SRE, or forward-deployed engineering in data-intensive or production AI environments.
- Advanced Python and SQL skills, with experience developing REST and gRPC APIs.
- Experience with cloud architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with MLOps tooling, vector databases, and LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Knowledge of prompt version control, model benchmarking, evaluation datasets, RAG pipelines, data drift detection, and CI/CD for machine learning pipelines.
- Strong technical communication skills for working with government and enterprise IT stakeholders and managing maintenance boundaries.

- Experience in forward-deployed engineering or maintaining AI solutions for strategic public sector partners.
- Experience managing 24/7 mission-critical support models and strict active support windows.
