Senior Software Engineer, AI Operations, GPS

What you will do

• Lead technical handovers from Delivery to Maintenance and verify code, prompts, architecture, and documentation for long-term maintainability.
• Own tiered SLA response and resolution targets, incident governance, root-cause analysis, and P1/P2 mitigation.
• Monitor production model performance, latency, data drift, prompt configurations, and regression risks after LLM provider updates.
• Classify client requests as routine maintenance or system evolution and benchmark new AI models.
• Build self-healing data pipelines, automated RAG indexing synchronization, and telemetry tooling to reduce operational toil.
• Act as the senior technical interface for government and enterprise IT leaders, explaining AI operations and system risks in business terms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, MLOps, SRE, or forward deployed engineering in data-intensive or production AI environments.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills, plus experience with REST/gRPC APIs and AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps tools, vector databases, and LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Knowledge of prompt version control, model benchmarking, evaluation datasets, RAG pipelines, data drift detection, and CI/CD for machine learning.
• Strong technical communication and the ability to manage client expectations and define maintenance boundaries.
